Sharmin Segal Trolled:
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s niece Sharmin Segal has been trolled for her performance in Heeramandi ever since the show released on Netflix on May 1. Now, a video from the Heeramandi promotions has gone viral in which she, Sanjeeda Sheikh and Richa Chadha are seen answering questions related to the show.
In an interview, Sanjeeda is seen calling Sanjay Leela Bhansali a ‘perfectionist’ but Sharmin seems to disagree with her. Sanjeeda said, “He is just a perfectionist. He wants everything to look mediocre because whatever he does is nothing less than perfection. He is respected all over the world for his brilliant creative mind and honesty towards his art. He expects the same honesty from his artistes on screen, so I have enjoyed every kind of role of Mr. Bhansali”.

Bhansali’s niece Sharmin interrupted him and said, “I think perfectionist is very basic word to talk about Sanjay Leela Bhansali. It is a word that an outsider who has never worked with him, has come to his sets and has not seen that kind of direction, will use. He is much than that word. He adapts to change very quickly. He keeps challenging you with different things. It is not just about perfection. He is looking for a magic and spontaneity.
As soon as this part of the video went viral on social media, netizens trolled Sharmin for calling Sanjeeda an outsider and her attitude towards her co-actor. One netizen wrote, “She is a very insecure and jealous person”, another user said, “Only nepotism baby will have the guts to be so rude to her co-actor despite her poor performance throughout the series”. Another user commented, “Sharmin Segal gave a very poor performance and secondly she is busy defending her arrogant filmmakers Sanjay Leela Bhansali. If they have seen talent and spontaneity them most of his films would not have looked so fabricated”.
Apart from Sharmin Segal and Sanjeeda Sheikh, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar also starts Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari and Richa Chadha in key roles.
