Manipur under flood threat
Due to Cyclone Remal, incessant rains for the past week have caused massive floods across the northeastern Started. Water levels in most of the rivers flowing from Imphal city are rising rapidity.

An official report said that 51 relief camps have been opened for the victims.
Since Sunday the water levels in most of the rivers flowing through Imphal have risen rapidly. the two major rivers are already overflowing in many parts of Imphal East and West districts.
Manipur floods death toll: National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has been deployed in Imphal West and Imphal East districts, Air Force, Navy and Army have been deployed in Imphal West district. Relied materials were distributed in various flood affected areas including Imphal East, Imphal West, Bishnupur, jeroboam, Noni, Tame ling, Chandel, Chiura Chandpur, Senapati, Kuching.
