After six months of hard work, Kamal Haasan convinced Balu Mahendra to make this film by Kovai Sarala. Kovai Sarala herself said this in an interview. Kamal Haasan won the Tamil Nadu state Award for Best Comedian for this film, keeping Kamal Haasan’s faith. The Telugu version of Sathi Leelavathi movie is currently available on You Tube.

First time singer Mano dubbed Kamal Haasan’s character in the movie Sathi Leelavathi in Telugu. Kamal Haasan dubbed this movie by Mano and not by SP Balasubramanyam.
Ilayaraja has given the music for Sathi Leelavathi movie. Balu Mahendra Sathi Leelavathi has released the movie based on the Hollywood movie She Devil.

The movie Sathi Leelavathi has been remade in Hindi with the title Biwi No 1. Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Tabu and Susmitha Sen acted as heroine in this movie which became a big success. It created a record as the highest grossing Bollywood movie of the year 1999. Ramesh Aravind remade it in Kannada as Rama Sama Bhama.

Currently, Kamal Haasan is giving tough competition to young heroes by acting in five films. Kamal Haasan is playing the villain in Prabhas Kaki 2898 AD. Prabhas is informed this his character is going to be bold and powerful. This movie will release on June 27. Kamal Haasan and directed Shankar’s Indian 2 will hit the screens on June 12. Indian 2 is being made as a sequel to Indian which was released in 1996. Kamal Haasan is doing Thug Life under the direction of Mani Ratnam. Two more films are under discussion.
