Yoga Day was started in 2015.

The first International Yoga Day was celebrated with great pomp all over the world on 21 June 2015. On this day, crores and millions of people did yoga, which created a record in the whole world. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, more than 35 people and leaders of 84 countries participated in this Yoga Day program. This program was held on Rajpath in Delhi, where 21 asanas were done.

Name was registered in the Guinness Book.

Through this event, India also got two Guinness Book oof world Records, first- for conducting the world’s largest yoga together, in which 35985 people did yoga together. Second- The first World Yoga Day celebrated in 2015 was introduced with a different theme which was “Yoga for Harmony and Peace”.
