Harbhajan Singh
Harbhajan Singh, the former spinner of the Indian team, who faced criticism for dancing like a disabled person while celebrating the Legends World Cup win, has apologized. He had to apologize after facing criticism for his ‘tauba-tauba’ reel.
Para badminton star Manasi Joshi criticized the action of Harbhajan Singh and Suresh Raina. After winning the World Championship of Legends, the Indian champions shared a hilarious video on social media. In it, Yuvraj Singh, Raina, Harbhajan Singh and Gurkeerat Singh danced with a limp. It was criticized.
After 15 days of legends cricket, he danced to a song which means that every part of the body is hurting. It was tagged to Vicky Kaushal and singer Karan Aujla. The constant cricket schedule has taken its toll on our bodies. The former Indian player explained that parts of our body are hurting. However, Manasi Joshi criticized the players. Also, he requested not to mock the physically gifted. Harbhajan Singh took to his social media to clarify the matter and claimed that the players do not want to hurt anyone’s sentiments.
I would like to clarify to our people who are complaining about the video we made after winning the inaugural edition of the championship in England. We didn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings. We value every individual and community. This video wants to talk about the pain in our body after playing cricket for 15 days. We are not trying to insult or hurt anyone. If people think we have done something wrong. All I can say from my side is sorry to everyone. Harbhajan posted on his social media that let’s stop it here and move on.
The mind is bored
Mansi criticized the players for mocking the gait of disabled persons. ‘I want more responsibility from athletes like you. Please don’t make fun of disabled walking. It’s not funny.’ Manasi commented on the Instagram post.
‘You never know how much damage your behavior can cause. It is sad to see the compliments you are getting from people around you. This reel of yours makes fun of the way special people walk. Small children will be bored by using this reel. If any of you athletes had done special community service, you wouldn’t have reeled. It is surprising that PR agencies of these athletes uploaded this reel on social media, Manasi wrote.
“I am really disappointed with all the people in the comment section who are misusing this reel of Harbhajan Singh and Suresh Raina,” Manasi said. It also received a large amount of likes and comments.
