Floods In Nepal: 112 people have lost their lives so far due to floods and landslides caused by incessant rains in Nepal.

It is reported that more than 60 people have been injured so far. This number is likely to increase. Hundreds of people went missing due to this. Disaster officials have issued flash flood warnings due to heavy rains in several parts of Nepal since Thursday.

According to Nepal Police Deputy Spokesperson Biswa Adhikari, the Kathmandu Valley was one of the areas worst affected by the rain. 34 people died here alone. Apart from this, many are missing. Hundreds were injured. 16 people have gone missing in Kathmandu Valley, taking the number of people missing across the country to over 100. Nepal Police Deputy Spokesperson Bishwa Adhikari said that more than three thousand people have been rescued so far. Apart from this, major roads were blocked at 63 places across the country due to floods and landslides. It also severely affected the transport system.

Keeping this situation in mind, Nepal’s Interim Prime Minister, Urban Development Minister Prakash Man Singh, Home Minister, Home Secretary, Heads of Security Agencies and other ministers have arranged an emergency meeting. In this meeting, he issued orders to speed up the search and rescue operations. The government has ordered the closure of all schools in Nepal for three days and postponement of all examinations.
