Israel’s onslaught in Iran: Satellite imagery shows Israeli strikes on Saturday caused damage to Iranian sites used for mixing solid fuel for ballistic missiles, Reuters reported, citing two researchers. The officials said that Israel struck Parchin, a massive military complex near Tehran. Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said earlier that it had completed a series of airstrikes against Iranian military sites, termed “Days of Repentance”, claiming the lives of two soldiers. The IDF added that it hit around 20 targets including Iran’s missile manufacturing facilities, surface-to-air missile storage sites, and other sites of military importance.
How did India react? India on Saturday expressed deep concern over the escalating conflict in West Asia, urging the involved parties to “exercise restraint and return to dialogue”. It said the ongoing hostilities are to nobody’s benefit, even as innocent hostages and civilian populations continue to suffer.
