70 people who came from Pakistan will get citizenship! Sindhi society celebrated when CAA was implemented.
The Citizenship Amendment Act has been implemented in the country. After the notification of the CAA law, there is a mixed reaction of the people. Somewhere there is protest about this and somewhere there is celebration of the implementation of this law.
In the same order, last night in Udaipur, people of Sindhi community who came from Pakistan expressed their happiness by setting off fireworks in front of their panchayat building.
There are still many such families in Udaipur who have settled here from other countries including Pakistan. Although years have passed, they are still waiting to get citizenship. People associated with Sindhi society say that when CAA is implemented, let us know.
70 people will get citizenship from CAA
President of Jacobabad Sindhi Panchayat Harish Rajani said, “There is a wave of happiness in the entire Sindhi society when the CAA i.e. Citizenship Amendment Act 2024 is implemented in the country by the Reverend Jacobabad Panchayat.” He informed that on this occasion grand fireworks were set off by Pujya Jacobabad Sindhi Panchayat outside Shri Jhule Lal Bhavan at Shakti Nagar and sweets were distributed.
Harish Rajani said that such families have been living in Udaipur for many years, who have come from neighboring countries. Some of them have got citizenship, but there are still about 70 people who are yet to get citizenship. They are eagerly waiting to get citizenship.
‘People of the society were troubled for 30-40 years’
Jacobabad Sindhi Panchayat President Harish Rajani claimed that “Sindhi community was an integral part of India. The old governments gave politics to Pakistan.” He said, “People of Sindhi understanding migrated to save their religion and family. We took visas and had to apply for citizenship, but the previous governments did not take it seriously. People of the society remained troubled for 30 to 40 years.”
Harish Rajani told the Central Government, “Now Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given relief to lakhs of people by implementing this law which was pending for years. With this, many of our brothers and sisters from neighboring countries will be able to get Indian citizenship and get basic facilities.” Panchayat patron Pratap Rai Chugh said that there is a wave of happiness among the Sindhi community especially from Pakistan due to the implementation of this law. With this law the future of them and their children will be bright.
